Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks, Sparky! Burrell, what's the problem with the yeast? I thought the only problem was that some people were allergic to it, which AFAIK I'm not. (Wouldn't be surprised though - I'm becoming allergic to more and more things. What's up with that?)

I have somethings to do. Why sit I at computer instead?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Because it's much, much easier.

Kristin: I have insent a request to attend NCTE to my boss. If I get approved, I'll probably be going with co-worker, but hey, maybe she'll be ok with getting a single and me shackin' up with you!

Cross fingers! And yeah, Kozol, Tan and Esmerelda Santiago!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Cross fingers! And yeah, Kozol, Tan and Esmerelda Santiago!

That should be so cool! I taught both Tan and Santiago while I was student teaching last semester.

I originally though that's where I'd have my first one, and cover it for business when needed, but I'm way too scattered for that. I'll be sticking to torso, because when that shows in a work context I'm already in all sorts of trouble.

Heh. Yeah, we'll see how the new workplace is about it. I'm telling myself I CAN cover it, but honestly, how often do I wear long sleeves and not push them up? Mmm....

Still hurts this morning, I think the tendons underneath are a little pissy still, or something.

Beej, I got it done at a place called "Pinz and Needlez" at 9th and U. Which, I almost didn't go there, after looking at how they spell the name, and the website. But a friend who had a fine looking tat went there, so I tried to remind myself I wasn't ahving them spell anything. :) I really wanted to get it done IN DC, but a lot of people recommend the Baltimore Tattoo Museum (?something liek that).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I had a friend with pale pale skin and a couple black and dark blue tattoos. She used Dermablend to cover them, and it was amazing. They just disappeared. The stuff didn't even sweat off.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Gronklies. I'm listening to The Eclectic Word "Manners and the Undead". It's full of snarky goodness.

Last night between 12:30 and 2:30 am I made my sister in law's favorite potato salad, I'm headed over to their house today to watch the Bears game.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Just wear a watch with a band wide enough to cover the tat. Or a cuff bracelet that's wide enough to cover it.

The status is NOT quo.

Fabulous! I've put in a request with my boss as well, but seeing as all of the hotels are already booked at the convention rate and I don't have a roomie (which is fine, just more expensive for the school), she may decide that the costs are too much. The convention fees and plane ticket are around $700, and then you add in 4-5 nights of hotel at around $250/night (and that's a super cheap and scary hotel)...we'll see. I'm just not able to front the cash myself, so it's all up to them.

Librarian Warlord

Zen, my sister hasn't answered the email I sent, yet.

I have just walked for a couple hours around town poking my nose into open houses. I am often surprised about the choices people make, but one of the houses today was a 4 bedroom, with 4 kids living there and the only place they had to eat was a little two person table in the kitchen. I thought it was sad that there wasn't any evidence of them being able to all sit down together and have family dinner.

There's a big bungalow just over the DC line that I'm sort of in love with, but it needs updating, and I'm not sure we're mentally prepared for ripping out a kitchen. Someone has taken great care of the place, and there's been no bad updates, so I'm having trouble crossing it off the list.
