To end up in Portland, I should fall in love with... someplace else? Eureka?
Er...no, don't end up in Eureka, I don't hear good things. :P
Problem is, Portland not large with the jobs. So, move to Seattle and be my friend! I will need them!
'Smile Time'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If we were to head west, the best place to land fencing-wise would be Portland, which is also tremendously appealing in many other ways.
I could live with Portland. More importantly, you could really be happy there, I think.
Oh well, maybe someday. But that would be a good fit for you and S.
Problem is, Portland not large with the jobs.
No, no it isn't. Not that I've been idly checking or anything.
So, move to Seattle and be my friend! I will need them!
What, the small group of us here can't be your entire social circle?
Congrats about the job offer!
I spotted this via Herself's LJ and I think it was linked at BoingBoing, but it's fascinating and moving. Fifty years of one woman's life in photos, found at a flea market
Weird to see the people claiming it's fake. No way! Trust your expert on period hairstyles.
Hurm. An employee who says her doctor treated her for a 104 degree fever yesterday just walked in and turned in a note that says she is cleared to return to work tomorrow. Somehow I am skeptical of the authenticity of this note.
Laga, was it signed "Epstein's Mother"?
Epstein's Doctor.
I had a Disappointing College Experience for the most part. I thought it was really bad, but compared to what came after, I get nostalgic sometimes.
Both kids are officially at school and have started their respective "last firsts". Her last first day of High School and his last first day of Elementary School.
Aw. It's so hard to believe how fast they're growing up. Even though K-Bug is already so mature for her age. And so very snarky, too! She texted me today and I swear I smiled for about an hour. Senior! Wow.
Congrats on the job offer, meara!
Gloomcookie, I hope the mid-term was easy as pie and that the cranky subsided because of it.
So, I got a wonderful raise (27%!!) and a new position within my current company this afternoon. I'm absolutely giddy about the money, obviously, just nervous about going from a bi-monthly paycheck to a monthly paycheck. Especially this month when my usual paycheck on the 15th will be cut in half. Eep. I foresee charging groceries and gas on one of my credit cards in the near future.
