It's appallingly hot here, humid, and the sun is annoyingly bright. But I don't care - my boss is gone and I'm positively euphoric. No more wondering what she's going to jump on me about, no more having to get approval to get info from someone on staff, she's gone! And I am being mature and professional about it - I'm not running down the hall singing "ding dong the witch is dead!"
Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
P-C, what are you waiting for? It is GOOD!
But I am vaguely unhappy with the direction they took with So Jealous ! Not that it didn't have some fab songs on it, but it was no If It Was You or This Business of Art !
Aw, I absolutely love So Jealous. Also love If It Was You. Not into This Business of Art. Interesting, interesting. Do you tend to prefer Tegan or Sara songs? I prefer Tegan's, FWIW.
Which Lean Cuisine should I eat for lunch? I can have glazed chicken or Swedish meatballs. I also have yogurt and grape-nuts.

I don't keep track of who wrote which. My favorites include "Superstar," "Star Money," "Underwater," You Wouldn't Like Me," "Where Did the Good Go," "Living Room," "Freedom," "Speak Slow," "I Hear Noises," and, let's say, "You Went Away."
Yeah, you're a Tegan man. She's the best! I like Sara, too, but I find her stuff not to be quite as interesting and complex as Tegan's.
I'm a Tegan man musically, but I think Sara's cuter.
Tegan and Sara fans should be aware that they're the hosts/interviewees on Logo's NewNowNext video show this week. It should be on a few more times between now and Sunday evening.
Hooray! I have caught up!
I don't know how I came to be so woefully behind, but no more!
~ma to Susan's mom and to all who needs it.
I am in the throes of new-car having. I have never bought a new car! It's a Nissan Versa and it's adorable.
Today I went to lunch at a place in Boston's South End, Tremont 647. It's Restaurant Week, where places serve 3-course prix fix menus for $20.07 for lunch and $30.07 for dinner. For lunch I had:
Duck Confit Quesadilla
local tomatoes, salsa verde, queso fresco
Buttermilk Fried Chicken
mashed sweet potatoes, chili spiced corn
Peach Cobbler
bourbon cream, hot caramel
Most of my entree is wrapped up and sitting in the fridge though.
I am sleepy and anxiously awaiting my upcoming Restaurant Week dinner that I'll be going to after work.
