Quick notes to Omnis -
aw darn, cuz the thread inspired me to try and finish chapter 4 of Gears of War, and yet, the last chapter is KILLING ME. Grrrr. How to kill "boomers". Or rather the group after the pair off boomers.
Trust me, the end of Chapter 5 is the hardest thing in the game by a mile. It is the one part of the game I think is poorly designed and frankly, not fun.
Also, if you're really having problems have someone jump into the game and play co-op with you to clear the scene.
It's the "gotta win at a game" person in me, I suppose.
You better hope you're on my team, today then, huh? ; )

Well, clothes have happened in the interim, but I have returned to being dressed with aplomb, shall we say. For it is now quarter past midnight in Bangkok, and my good intentions wrt getting an early night have gone the way that my good intentions almost invariably do. Alas. I blame the Buffy Trivia game on facebook. Too too addictive!

O thank Jebus! I know I'm not the best at shooter games. I like them, but I am not all that great. I've attempted that last bit at LEAST 2 dozen times. When tired..when wide awake... when frustrated... when stressed....and a few times in a near zen state. All to no avail. While I love doing the sniper headshot on the boomers, I realize the machine gun takes them out a lot faster. Just gotta make it past the 2nd wave.

finally checked my lotto tickets for Friday Mega's and Saturdays CA Super Lotto's... ya. 2 games each... not *ONE* single number on any of them. This is why I don't play lotto that often. I have no luck (unless ya count BAD luck)

Actually the way to take out the Boomers.. well, there's a couple of ways, one involves grenades and then creeping back & forward to dish out head shots on the Boomers, the other... well, it involves something you and I missed (I had to be told about it). Look above the Boomers on the opposite side of the crater.
