Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Much ~ma to Susan and mom. This does seem to be an especially rough summer for Buffistas parents. That should stop. Now.

In good news, today, I had a good day at work, saw a guy in a tan utili-kilt on the way home - not a common site in this fairly small town - and was productive at home, completing:

  • two loads of laundry washed, dried, folded and put away
  • a drainer of dishes
  • dinner from scratch with leftovers for four lunches or dinners, customized with toppings to avoid boredom
  • a catch-all dresser drawer cleaned out.

I also had a fairly productive Sunday, and didn't turn on tv until 8, and didn't really watch much then. This is a huge deal for me, as I've spent most of the last year paralyzed by my horribly messy house. That is to say, yes, I do dishes, laundry, etc., but I've been unable to even chip away at the big stuff. This has gotten even worse this summer, since I've been sick so much of it and recuperating and exhausted much of the rest. I'm kind of proud of myself right now.

Granola and yogurt:

Another thing I did tonight: finished a really good book. I've been trying to push myself into reading more non-fiction, but this one was easy. It's called Carved in Sand, and it's all about midlife memory loss. I know that topic doesn't sound all that exciting, but the author was really good (laugh out loud funny, I kid you not) and the topic was interesting. And it was actually kind of hopeful and inspiring. I highly recommend it.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

who the hell knows how men think
Um. I thought this was documented. Isn't it sex every 4.7 minutes, and some stupid, useless info (sports, TV, movies, gadgets, etc) in the time between. :: removes tongue from cheek ::

I've lived here five summers now, and I've never been inside Fenway. I need to fix that next summer, me thinks.

omg VW! I lived in NH for two summers and saw 4 or 5 games... AND I"M A YANKEE FAN (o boy it wasn't smart wearing that cap... so I did it again :P )

There is still time left this season for you to go. I think the 1st base side is best, tho I do wonder what the seats on the wall would be like.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Oh man I feel like crap. I Can Not be getting sick. But I was just in the walk-in freezer and it felt really good. I'ma take some airborne and go right to bed when I get home.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

All kinds of ~ma to Susan and her mom.

Yays!!! to Emmett and libkitty!

Laga, no getting sick! I forbid it! And, yes, I have that power. Or, at least, I so WISH I had that power.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Feel better, Laga.

Fred Pete, how did I miss your b-day? Hope it was a lovely one.

Susan, much ~ma to your mom and to you, too.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

We walked to the zoo today!

Trust my rage

Actual conversation with husband just now:

Joe: I see you have a book on a cult. Are you into a cult now?

Me: Did you actually look at the cover?

Joe: Yeah - it has a mouse with pointy ears (he sticks his fingers up next to his ears to demonstrate)

Me: So, does that really look like a book on a cult?

Joe: No...so what is it?

Me: It's a book written by a buffista about life online. She made the exact point to the publisher about putting the word 'cult' on the cover but they did it anyway.

So, not surprisingly, paperdol was right. (Oh, and I'm totally enjoying the book. I was laughing out loud at the skeezy third world hospital last week while waiting for my appointment.)

Much -ma to your mother, Susan.

Go you, libkitty!

Yay, Emmett!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's hysterical, Stephanie. Especially the pointy-ears demo.
