OK, I've decided it's time to get a passport ... now, I'm coloring my hair a completely different color than the natural one. What color do I put down? or do they ask?
put down the color your hair is now. If you decide to go back to silver, they'll figure it out.
I thought passport applications asked for your natural haircolor.
Don't think I'll go back to the natural color until it's completely white ... and maybe not then!

What if you don't remember?
Maybe they'll accept "whatever" or "your guess is as good as mine".
vw, you're lucky you're in a city with a passport agency. You should be able to apply in person for a new one. Of course that probably sounds a lot easier than it is.
Not hard, but you have to be leaving the country imminently - like within the month - to apply in person. You'll need a plane ticket or some such to show the need.
My natural color is "You don't want to see that color. Really."

Actually, it's within 14 days. So, yeah, I'll just go to the post office. I called the Passport Office, and got more info. I'm golden. Thanks!
My mother had been coloring her hair for years, to the extent no one had seen anything resembling the natural color for a long time. She finally - in her 60s - ended up with a pale yellow, about the color of a baby chick, when my sister and I persuaded her to stop the coloring. It turned out it was a very nice gray ... and when she stopped coloring it, it ended up being thicker and much healthier. Of course, she's always perferred going to the kind of "hairdresser" who lurks in suburban strip malls, so it's not that surprising.
SuziQ, how cool! How was the show from backstage?
