Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Also, we would know because of the preponderance of Gerard and Frank clones running amuck.

Well, yes.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Back from my haircut, it is SHORT...she styled it spikey in back and slick in front, with a bit teased at the top back of my head to add a bit of height.

On my way home a friend called offering me a ticket to a concert tonight, so I'm only home for a few, so no time for pictures. K-Bug is pissed cause she wanted to go to the concert....but there was only one ticket available and I'M TAKING IT. Last live concert I went to was with Lee and juliana. Which reminds me - Lee is a pothead.

And with that...poof...I'm outta here.

I wondered if that was the concert! Have fun, it's supposed to be a good spectacle.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My babysitter has not texted me back about next week. We're supposed to go see the Goo Goo Dolls and Lifehouse at an outdoor venue.

Thrive to spite them

Buffista~ma is awesome!

At the end of my rough day Mom called me and said "The Hand of God worked today." G'ma is going into assisted living Monday!!! She also sai that she wants to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. This is what happened:

Home health care came today for an assessment and asked Aunt J if she'd thought about assisted living and she said yes but she wasn't sure and they mentioned a different Nursing Home. We'll call Posh Nursing Home. The home health care person said, at PNH, home health care can come in and Medicare can pay for it. Also it's $800/mth cheaper than the other place. So Aunt J wasn't sure, and then uncle J showed up so they got in the car with G'ma and went to PNH.

Aunt J raved about it. The rooms are bigger, there's art on the walls that one the residents did (before she lost her sight), it smelled good. The staff was wonderful and told them to stay for lunch (which they did and tasted "like Mother used to make" a quote from my uncle). PNH will have movers move all G'ma's stuff, they'll make arrangements to have her phone number switched to her room. They don't have a separate dementia wing, the residents with dementia stay with everyone else.

G'ma even saw some women on scooters and expressed interest in a scooter.

It was just a great wonderful thing.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Brief report:

Recruiter somewhat misrepresented Gargantocorp; the atmosphere is fairly casual (definitely no wardrobe upgrade required) and the office denizens are very very normal and low-key and not Perky!!! or Fun!!! (which is not to say they're not fun; they just don't take it to Crazyland). Salary may be more than what the recruiter initially said. Full benefits, plus free soda and coffee and ice cream. I'm scheduled for a second interview next Wednesday. Hmmmm.

OTOH, it's entirely possible that the heavily coded monologue the woman I interviewed with delivered regarding the man I'd be working for translates into plain English as "A bit entitled and sometimes kind of a dick. Also, probably the kind of conservative who likes to call Berkeley Berzerkeley and may express opinions on San Francisco highly irritating to people who actually live there. Please come here and be nicer than him."

My executive assistant decoder book says, "Dicks have trouble keeping assistants who'll put up with their shit. Ask for more money."

Still and all, the job right in San Francisco (just a stone's throw from the outer edge of North Beach, no less) with the nice boss, even for less money, is a wee bit more appealing.

eta: yay, askye! Wonderful news! It's about damn time. The universe still owes Buffista families, big time.

Also boo sucks on work people making DJ and Susan cry. That's all kinds of wrong.
