Baby! So glad to hear baby and mom are well, Andi.

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Windsparrow, I'm glad to hear mother and baby are doing well. Congratulations to your friend!
Ugh.
What a morning.
I like my new job SO much better than my old one with the semi-abusive boss, but still...ugh. People seem to think my predecessor did a brain dump of some kind giving me all his knowledge. At least, they keep expecting me to know things no one has ever told me. And my boss has a habit of dumping a week's worth of work on me at once on Mondays at the staff meeting and immediately afterward, which frazzles me because I feel like I'm expected to do it at once. It was worse than normal today because there was a wreck or a stall in the express lanes and the bus was late, so I didn't even have time to gather my thoughts, check my email, or just get my introvert's alone time in before staff meeting.
Sounds like vw is a true Literary Buffista with that stash of books to travel with. Well done!
Happy, Happy Birthday Fay!
Susan, I'm glad you're liking the new job better than the last one. I'm sure you'll pick up on what you need to know quickly. And, if I haven't said it yet, It's nice to see you back here.

ah ... I'm way, way behind in Natter ... and Bitches seemed more appropriate for kilted fun.
Vortex, so you haven't been able to move into your condo yet? I saw the note and hoped you had, but then saw it was only the students. bah!

Thanks! And I know this is the tough point in a new job. I've been here almost 3 months, long enough to get the basic routine and to feel like I should know everything. But we're on an annual cycle, for one thing. And there are all sorts of little things that just weren't part of my training or the info J. left for me. The latest was that I'm supposed to invite a group of people peripherally affiliated with us to the summer end-of-unit party this week, and I hadn't had the slightest idea I should do so.

If no one tells you, and you don't even have enough information to ask, than it is not your fault. You're way too hard on yourself.
