Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I had to madly skip like a mad skipping thing.
Interview ~ma to the loads of folks what needs it! Yay interviews!!
Teachers, I love you all, and I appreciate everything you do. I just wanted to say that.
I popped in at the right time. Can I just say I am so very pooped? I had new teacher orientation Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri and am very much brain overloaded. Everyone is v. sweet and kind and lovely and that makes it much easier. Monday the whole district starts and Wednesday the kids show up!
I met one of my kids today. She is this wee sweet 6th grader who is very nervous about starting at the middle school, so she and her mom got her schedule and walked around the school finding all her classrooms and just looking around. I was in my room when she came by. Cutie cakes, she is.
Raq? Is Raq here? I posted a request in Natter to find someone familiar with Zazzle, and Cashmere said you might be able to help... Are you here?
Knock....knock.....
Anyone alive in here? Helloooooooooooooo?
Well, I'm dressed in yucky clothes, in prep to go help clean up the Oakland Zoo. K-Bug has to get 5 hours of environmental related community service. Somehow it turned into a team effort. Wheeeeeeeeeeee.
We're watching Fox News. Someone save me!
Oh vw, that way leads to madness.
I got a gmail address of firstname.lastname@gmail.com
This has me grinning madly. A most awesome address. Another name I enjoyed was reallygoodname@ which Madrigal used. JenP's is very clever. Mine are all boring real name stuff.
Interview ~ma all round.
I was sick all day yesterday. Nothing major, just sinus stuff, no voice. Uck tired. Taking it easy today to prepare for the long drive home.
Worried like crazy for my Jamaican friends. Dean is not going to miss them.
Oh vw, that way leads to madness.
Yeah, but fighting with my brother's mother-in-law leads to even worse madness, so I'll just deal.
We're watching Fox News.
Oh, noes!
I went to a Braves game last night. A friend got this whole ticket package from the company she works for: free parking, access to the 755 Club (bar and restaurant, named, of course, for Hank Aaron's home run record) and great seats. I was afraid that it would be too hot, since it was 97 at game time, but it was fine. It was a great evening, except for one thing. The Braves sucked. Badly. Sigh.
My brother watches Fox News pretty much 24/7. I make him turn it off, because little brother. The news portions aren't that awful, obvious choices of what to show and how to phrase things, but not blatant. The shows that aren't just reading of news are unbearable.
Whine. I feel all uncomfortable and bloated. Like I weight 30 pounds more than usual. I'm trying to work up the energy to walk next door and visit with my mother. We leave tomorrow morning, early. It is her birthday tomorrow so we will celebrate it later today.
Also today DH & Bobby are on their way to the Boonville Woodsman's Field Days. Log cutting competitions, big equipment and stuff. They also have a parade with the Forest Queen and wood nymphs and such. My sister has to work the show seminars because she works in the industry.
Sorry the Braves sucked, Ginger. Fun with friends and baseball a good thing.
TCG's mother finally cancelled for tomorrow, like I knew she would, but now the Edward Hopper exhibit and the Gibson reading I wanted to go to tomorrow are both sold out.
How annoying, sj. I had a mother-in-law like that. In her case, she'd say she wanted to go, but then would be "sick" and we'd have two hours of her dramatic "Just go without me." By the time we got through all that, it was usually too late to go.
I wouldn't have particularly minded if the Braves had lost a well-played game, but it was a long series of pathetic hits and players going, "Oh, look! What's that round white thing in the infield?"
