Where's the praising and extolling of my virtues? Where's the love?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

Katie! ::hugs and smooches Katie for DAYS:: I would gladly follow you to a sushi boat bar.

I'm such a baby when it comes to new foods. I was nervous as hell the first time I went to a vietnamese restaurant (maybe 7 years ago) but I'm so glad I did because vietnamese eggrolls are nothing short of heavenly. I also have a favorite vietnamese entree dish but I couldn't possibly tell you what it's called other than #12 on the menu at Kim Ba's.

I was nervous about dim sum, too, but now I have it at least once every couple of months, so I have high hopes of liking sushi.

Not sure if this is a migraine side effect or not but I keep getting sharp stabbing pains toward the back of my head. They are verging on scream-out-loud worthy, rather than just painful and annoying.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congrats on the house-hazzing, -t!

I have never had gnocchi.

I've recently joined the ranks of the verified gluten-intolerant. I had heard quinoa was safe, but I hadn't tried it. Given all the recs, I will.

I would totally love one of those eco-friendly little hobbit houses. So very me.

Am enjoying Gloomcookie's shoe porn posts.

According to my statistics, in comparison to that article I am a ginormous slut.

This is me also! Sluts R Us. The whole "men have more sex partners than women because men are horny toads and women aren't really into sex" tripe makes me feel like an alien species. I've had more partners than anyone I know whose stats I know, with the exception of one woman who's like a porn star.

Besides, "Everybody lies about sex."

I don't! I'm distressingly honest. Really, I just can't be bothered to keep track of what lies I told. Also, have virtually no boundaries. shrug

No aftereffect of Fernet can possibly be worth it!

Hec, I'm so sorry about Karen! Much strength and health~ma to all of you! Does Emmett know?

Punishingly Intricate

It seems like he is in the newspaper every day! About opening the new restaurant? Miss Irene's? That's him right? I think I've been seeing him most mornings at the Daily Grind. At least that's what I've surmised from conversations I've overheard.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gnocchi is hit-or-miss, for me. I only really started liking it when I moved here (living in Little Italy has its perks).

hugs and pets Jilli

My motorcycle jacket came!!! It is very pretty and has stiff armor! I will feel much more confident riding in this puppy. Also, I look totally bad-ass in it.

Sushi is amazingly flexible. Basically, if you like vinegar and rice, there's a sushi for you.

Herding cats for fun

(writes "Take Nicole Out for Sushi" on the calender in indelible ink)

I promise, you'll love it! Especially if I make sure you drink enough sake and Asahi beer.

not your mom's socks.

ha - yes, I should check the papers. are they actually going to open? I suggested their t-shirts should have Opening In: and then all the months - then they could just line-through each month as it passed. That was when I was helping paint the place.

He's a nice guy. tall, v. short hair? the red-head is John. Tomorrow if you see Ben, say hi and introduce yourself. He's still bummed we didn't get buffy movies going before I split town. You could take up the flag...

eta- Lisah - tell Ben 'hi' for me too pls!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Sean, YAY! We're available and just loafing about most evenings; I can't guarantee we can scrape together the cash for going out, but if you and S are good with giant bowls of pasta we could do that. There'd be slounging and baby-hugging and probably cool videos and stuff.

Tuesday nights it's just us and Matilda, Wed & Thurs add Emmett to the mix.

Ping me at my profile addy if you like.

In short, YAY!

Also, congrats -t on house-having! In Benicia or another local town? That whole area is kind of a trek from San Francisco, but oh there are such gorgeous old houses all over.

hmm.. the guy I've been seeing is short and (maybe?) balding. Maybe he's involved in one of the other new restaurants opening down here.

The Miss Irene's news in the paper this morning was that it's to open sometime "in the fall."

It seems like that's always the way with restaurants.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Armor is a good thing, Juliana! I HOPE you have a full-face helmet?

I have my yearly review in less than an hour and am all twitchy. I keep thinking I should be cooler about it, but I never am. Like all Buffistas, I tend to discount the positive and dwell on the negative and so no matter what review I get, it makes for a cranky-ass day. I know the worry is unhealthy, but I still haven't figured out how to stop it.
