Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Spoke with my dad today, who unfortunately was in a lot of pain. I only just started looking up airfare. I hate this part maybe even more than packing. I'm eating cake, watching the 4400, during commercial breaks catching Eureka online (how cool is that? I didn't know skiffy did stuff online), and hoping to find a repeat of Psych since I missed it.

I'm also pleasantly mellow on wine. Mmmm. I shouldn't look at linoleum though. IJS.

Okay, making plane reservations is actually one of my super powers! So, let me know if you want any help.

I am also pleasantly drunk on wine, pasta, tiramisu, and free shot of vanilla vodka from a verra cute restaurant manager.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think I need to step away from the fantasy novels for a bit. I'm feeling sad at my lack of a Great Quest.

Well, right now my Quest is trying to figure out a way to get to the Baltimore Trapeze School by public transportation. And tomorrow, my Mission will be to figure out some results on non-crossing partitions and type up an algebra exam. But none of that stuff is terribly Great or Epic. Or even all that Interesting.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I saw Wicked today. OMG, I loved it SO MUCH and with every single fiber of my being. Perfection.

Because books.

Where's Scola? And Suzi and Hec? Tom Glavine just won his 300th game! Historic! Awesome!

This is pretty much how S and I felt after seeing it.

Also, having seen the one here at the Pantages twice, and having listened to the OBC recording?

I think Eden Mendoza (current Elphaba in LA) is better than Idina Mendel (OBC Elphie).

Eden Espinoza--and I know this because I was so blown away by her that I looked her up in my program immediately. She was mind-blowingly good.

I love listening to the OBC CD, and I love listening to Idina, but I really wish I could have a recording of Eden singing the part.
