creepy - a comcast guy just showed up to 'check the box on the back of my house' - I didn't call in anything. He says it's a 'comcast issue' but they didn't notify me that they were sending someone. I don't know if they do that, but at least I could tell him to go around the back and not take him throught the house. Which is locked up.

If he's acting suspicious I'd call Comcast to see if he's supposed to be there.
Of course, you could end up on hold for half an hour....

I called DH at work too - I know that's over the top, but we don't know any of our neighbors yet -
It could just be he had to make a general check of some cable network interface, possibly for other subscribers.... do you live in a house or an apartment?
Still, if they need to talk to a customer, it should be their policy to call the customer and leave a message first.
