Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My head combines Planet of the Apes with Falco.

Mine generally does. Yet another thing I can blame on the Simpsons.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Is the stupid mess with the idiots at his school worked out?

fyi, bathtub play by play.

rhino defeats triceratops, then hippo eats triceratops - until mom says that hippos are vegetarians. "Hey we are preTENDing here."

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That's where I heard that. I'm earwormed every time I see an article or headline with General Petraeus.

well, yesterday he did get taken with the other kids after lunch and not just left by himself like all of last week. But he is just set to the side for PE, and I still have to take him to his classroom each morning. I think it is as worked out as it is going to get and my letter will be in the vein of "I hope some things get changed before the next kid come in with temporary special needs, cause, you know, it's the law.""

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"Hey we are preTENDing here."

Boy's got a point.

I hope that his increased ability to do things makes him a happy puppy and proceeds apace.

Okay, I'm having yesterday's headache again. I want to go home. A few more minutes.

Have people here had good luck finding restaurant websites? I mean, since I don't have a Yellow Pages anymore--in talking to Polgara I realised that I'm not even throwing them out anymore because I'm plain not getting them--and I mostly look straight ahead when driving, finding new restaurants is spotty. I want to try pizza delivery places near me (most of the menu drops I get are Asian food, with some South American, and they were good finds, just limited) and when I google their names I can only find CityPages or something like that. Small site. Menu. Delivery range. It's all I need.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I still think you should call Roger Clark and get him up there! What a mess.

They apparently have MenuPages for LA. [link]

Tell him that when hippos go splat, they make a big mess. Or maybe don't tell him...

So today I discovered that the slightly alarming whirring sound I thought my computer was making at random is in fact a sound effect my dear developers put into critical error alerts in a piece of software. It's just normally, my sound is turned way way down. When it is not turned way way down, the sound is a BLOODCURDLING YELL that repeats once for each error message.

There were a lot of error messages.

The whole hall came to investigate.
