bon bon, that totally sucks! busted feet aren't okay.
I'm sitting in the pink glider having returned from the enormous flea market at the Rose Bowl. Got a baby sling, a wipes container and other various and sundry stuff (cute bath towel! cute embroidered pillow case! cute wash cloths!) but I am spent. And I think I swallowed a bug.
Noah got to try out a new playmat yesterday - I think he likes it.
He's not so sure about the bebepod, however.
Poor bon! That is not fair. I think you should be allowed to feel quite put out. Somebody should bring you chocolate and DVDs.
Looking at Noah all bopping! Bop, Noah, Bop!
Today's question is:
What are the most evocative titles for you?
I have certain titles for songs, stories, books and movies which swirl around in my head even when I haven't actually read or heard or seen the work in question.
Some examples:
"The Girls In Their Summer Dresses" - short story
In the Land of Dreamy, Dreams
- novel
"Plunged Into Hell While at Cocktails" - song title
"Goodbye, Porkpie Hat" - song title
What titles rattle around in your head?
Noah may not be sure about the bebepod but he is just ADORABLE in it.
Hee. He's still a little too small for it, but he'll be ready soon enough.
KristinT, how do you get to work? Do you take 134-405 or do you go 110-10? I'm looking for the quickest route and I dunno which it is.
I have found that 134/101/405 is much faster, so I always take that route. You can take Sepulveda if the 405 is too backed up (and you can also take Riverside down to Kester over to Ventura to avoid the 101). The key either way is to be en route before 7. If I leave Pasadena no later than 6:30, I generally get to Brentwood in about 45 minutes.
But you're closer to downtown now, right? It might not make sense for you to follow this route if you're already close to the 110/10. Pasadena is equidistant, so I tried both.
"Dick in a Box" wins Emmy. [link]
Ah, and finally we see quality entertainment receiving its due....
(Actually, "Dick in a Box" might qualify as an evocative title.)
(I think that posting that, rather than some esoteric short-story title, might just have made Hec decide to unfriend me, for lo, I am a white-trash Philistine.)
(But! *Dick*! In a BOX!)
Why are suspicious/unconvinced babies so hilarious?
T had an adversarial relationship with the lions on his playmat and bouncy chair. I wonder what it is about lions.
Although I am tempted to name her Miss Dashwood... *grin*
'suela, what a beautiful dog!!! My bff's cats that she got this summer (through separate, closely spaced stray cats showing up on porches incidences) are Miss Dashwood & Colonel Brandon!
sarameg, I thought I was missing my comics but they were stuck inside like an ad for an assisted living place, maybe? Or a supplementary sports section or something.
I had crazy news at my family reunion yesterday which was that my older brother and his wife are expecting a baby!!! They'd talked about adopting for a long time but never said anything about having a baby biologically. They're not very information-sharing in that way. So it's totally shocking news. But cool. My brother will be an awesome dad. Also, they live pretty close so NIECE IN THE STATE! WOO!
