Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

Woot! Good stuff. I'm still on the first match, but it made me take a break to Skype home and talk a little women's tennis with the mater.

I'm only in the first set of the Djokovic v. Ferrer match and I'm already flailing! Holy shit, can Ferrer hustle.

Er. Is saying who's playing a spoiler?

Second set, you mean? I'm on it now!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm in the second set myself. Very nervewracking. But I think that matches played not today aren't spoilers, and that's all that the lineup for today is.

I am pissed about the Williams sisters, or at least about what I realised re: them. They pretty much play crap when they lose. Take Roddick--that match against Federer? LOVELY. He can play well and lose. Venus? Serena? They show up with crap and then they lose. I don't like watching that kind of tennis. Might as well just read the score.

This year I'm so all about the men at the Open. Normally it's the other way round, but apart from the Serbs, I found most of the women disappointing.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I sometimes mutter "jackass" or other insulting cursewords under my breath, and only rarely am I referring to another person. Especially another person nearby.

But immediately after you've spoken to someone, as they're walking away?

Not that I'm terribly upset if the neighbor that I find both annoying and questionably stable isn't fond of me. I mean, the word "wack-job" does run through my head after every brush with him, I just don't say it out loud.

Yeah, that I try to keep on the inside.

I haven't got to Federer yet! I'm still biting my fingernails over Djokovic and Ferrer and their neverending dueling deuces in the second set.
