If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesus. And the two girls were ejected from the van, suggesting they didn't have seatbelts on, either. WTF is wrong with people?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Pizza is nummy and, thankfully, not burning the skin on my neck....

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

There's supposed to be a Chipotle's near here. I should look into that.

What are people doing this weekend?

I'm pretty sure that Hyundai is by far the largest company in South Korea. Anyway, their chairman was convicted of embezzling $110 million. An appeals court decided the chairman should not do any prison time, because he's too important to South Korea's economy.

....In reversing Chung's sentence, presiding Judge Lee Jae-hong told a packed courtroom in Seoul, "I was unwilling to engage in a gamble that would put the nation's economy at risk," according to the Associated Press.

....Hyundai managers say Chung is a hands-on executive, and his absence while he was in jail last year, as well as the turmoil the case caused, held up important projects and decisions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Damn you all. Now I'm craving pizza. And Greek food, which is kinda random.

Oh, and Jesus has returned.

Former British spy David Shayler has cleared up the confusion for Christians all over the world. That's right, you Christian folks can stop worrying about that whole "second coming" deal because, well, David Shayler is the Messiah.

Praise David!

How do I know it's true, you say? Well, because David says that it's true - and the Messiah can't lie. Duh.

[David aka the Christ conciousness]: "I am the last incarnation of the Holy Ghost (aka the Holy Spirit) or the Yeshua or Jesus Spirit (aka the Christ consciousness).

What are people doing this weekend?

Tonight is the series finale of Kim Possible! I'm way more excited about this than I should be.

On Sunday, I have to go into work for a few hours. Boo. Also on Sunday, there is electronics recycling, so I'm going to try yet again to get rid of the friggin' TV set.

Other than that, I'll be sitting around waiting for the phone to ring, and feeling sorry about myself.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

1) You are driving a car, and you accelerate from 0 to 25 mph. Say the amount of energy required is x. Now you continue to accelerate from 25 mph to 50 mph.

What is the total amount of energy you used to accelerate from 0 to 50 mph?

energy required = x times the square of (velocity divided by 25).

If you accelerate to 50 mph, you have four times the energy as if you accelerated to 25 mph. (Fifty divided by 25 is 2, square that to get 4.)

2) You drop a heavy object from a height of 10 feet, and when it hits the ground it has a velocity of y. What would be the velocity if you drop it from 20 feet? From 40 feet?

velocity = y times the square root of (height divided by 10).

So if you dropped it from 20 feet, it would be the square root of two times y (1.41 times y, roughly); if you dropped it from 40 feet, it would just be 2 times y.
