Curried, preferably, but the Oaxacan BBQ is also quite tasty.

Gah! Now the song is half-haunting me, but not completely enough for me to be able to google it. The lyrics (that are not right enough) stuck go "At night in my sleep, I dream of you."
Or something like that.
It got wedged in my mind ('93? '94?) after I dreamt of one guy three nights in a row.
That's so not my style but he was magnetic, perplexing, and prettier than Victor Webster.
Want song now.

Holy crap! Way to go, book - keep it up!
Sadly, said beautiful man rebels against his good looks. I respect his decision not to use them in his line of work (standup comedy), but the shallower part of me screams that it's a terrible waste. He's been deliberatly maintaining a scuzzy look--he used to be clean cut biker type, and from there to pretty clean cut hiker type, and has been trying various sorts of skeeze since then.
Yesterday I was talking about Victor Webster with a woman he'd worked for. She's an exec producer and we were just commenting on the "unfairness" of life that means guys like Victor or a friend Johann pretty much won't get a role unless it's written pretty. And they're both on the tall side of things, so even harder to make them blend in.
Still, having women throw themselves at your feet might make up for some of that. And if you play it right, it can help with the rent too.
Apparently Damages has an explicitly short term premise, and I'm finding it very engaging so far. I love that US TV is doing a little more of the UK methods--short seasons, few seasons. Cool to have that mixed in with everything else.
ISTR Glenn Close has like a seven year contract, so...maybe not as short term as you are thinking?
Also, cilantro-haters! Tonight I went with Bob and his brother to WD-50, and they had an herb there that tasted exactly like cilantro but Bob, the cilantro non-taster, could taste the cilantro flavor! Now he knows what it tastes like! I forget what it is called though. Whoops.
Hmm. Maybe I have to settle for short seasons then. But it's nice to know they're thinking of an end:
The series was envisioned with Hewes tackling new cases each season (Danson's will be resolved at the end of this one), but her shingle will only be out for so long. With the network so heavily invested in serialized dramas and twisted protagonists, its shows have limited lives
