Um...hmmm...mostly it was a matter of just doing it a lot I think.
Well, I intend to keep doing it, but I'm not seeing any progress at all, which is why I'm hoping there's some other stretch that might help.
I can check with my yoga instructor friend for some tips.
That would be cool.
A gentler stretch that helps open your clavicle is to stand in a doorway (not too wide a doorway) and put your palms up flat against the door jamb at shoulder height. Then step one leg forward and you should feel a stretch across your clavicle. Hold for 30-60 secs. And then change feet.
Cool -- I'll try that. Thanks!

I like to hang off the top of the door jamb, but I guess that wouldn't work for everyone...
ION, Update: Larry Wachowski Probably Still a Dude
And yeah, since shrift and I have been going for several years, I'd hopefully question the socially inept part. I'll happily lay claim to "nerd."
Well that's why I separated the two. Nerds are cool. The socially inept are socially inept.
Sorry if it sounded like I pissing all over things. I was mostly just pissing all over half-dressed idiots. Which, probably some kind of movie franchise.
Ruh-roh, Daisy! We're going to start off our mutual love of football season countering each other!
(long pause while she makes sure the Tivo is set up correctly.)
Go Colties! Superbowl champs, whoo!
Yoga really is Teh Bomb at opening oneself up. I used to just rely on my dance stretches, and kept getting stiffer anyway. Yoga's counteracted the stiffness very nicely. (Now I just have to shift myself to do it more than once a week.)
Re: Dragon*Con costumes, I have a mad love for the Hellgirl chick. That's pretty damn awesome.
NFL starts tonight! Whoo!

It'll be cool. Manning's playing his hometown. Imagine how he feels.
I know! We're really looking forward to the game!
Things to do with your coffee table:
1) Fall through it.
2) Find a python on it!
Steph, here's stretch that can help open that up. Check the stretches on this page--you don't want to focus on just one set of muscles.
