"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Here's a HK movie that I've always wanted to see Golden Queen's Commandos - that's the oh-so-awesome Brigitte Lin with the eye patch. I don't know who the jungle girl is, but I declare she's also awesome.

It's sort of an 80s HK action flick by way of Spaghetti Westerns with a dose of The Dirty Dozen.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The one of hers that sticks most in my mind is the tofu one, from Tai Chi Master.

Yeah, that one's still my fave....

Unless I'm thinking of some other excellent tofu fight scene... (could there be more than one?) She was the "tofu beauty," right?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dear Los Angeles:

You wouldn't notice if we kept Burrell and family, would you? I mean, you could have them on alternate weekends.

Signed,

Back from an awesome and very long playdate with the lot of them and wishing we had transporter technology.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Send more monkeys.

PMM: Oh. Oh. Was that the registered mail notice thing? Oh. I thought it was from the IRS, so I ignored it. I wonder if they're still good.

ND: Did you miss the part where I need more monkeys?

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I have been known to peel them and eat grapefruits like an orange.

I didn't know there was any other way to eat grapefruits.

I didn't know there was any other way to eat grapefruits.

Cut them in half, sprinkle sugar on, and scoop out bits with a spoon?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I didn't know there was any other way to eat grapefruits.

Delegate the task to an undiscerning goat?
