The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Go Matilda with becoming a biped!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That would make a good t-shirt.

I'm bipedal - ask me how!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

yay Matilda! very cool!

msbelle, your post cracked me up in its inspeakyness.

So, new job? Intrigues me, which is nifty. It is simultaneously more responsibility and less than before.

You know what is surprisingly delish? The chocolate and cinnamon bread at starbucks.

It's nice to actually be stimulated by work, isn't it?

I feel like I've kind of blown it for the first two weeks. I'm hoping I can make up for it, but I kinda think the students decide what they think of you and the class on the first day or two, so I've basically blown the semester. Oh well. Nice students anyway, so it won't be a total loss.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just got back from a show by this guy [link] who is a good friend visiting from NYC. Very funny, strongly political piece of rant/comedy. He started performing these pieces after we moved here and had never seen him do his thing, so it was very cool.

More importantly--Hooray for Matilda walking and Kat's new job being interesting!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Interesting job! Cool.

Actually, mine's not uninteresting. I just have so little energy these days.

And Matilda is even more of a scaled down human, with the ambulatory and the glayvin.

I am so tired. Must go fake dinner.

Swouncing

Poking my head to thank Monique for her cake answers. Whenever any other of my friends worldwide will get such awesome cakes, and I can't attend, she deserves be there and get the largest yummiest piece. [Edit: and not just for my own pleasure! No, really.]

In fact, last night my roommates got me some nice-looking ice-cream for my birthday, and as we were talking about dividing it among ourselves, thus making it a bit less pretty, I started gushing about paperdol's cake-book (none of them has enough English to read the actual book, but they saw me with it often enough - oh, well, who am I kidding, they saw me dancing around the apartment with the ARC I got, pointing at the acknowledgment page and squealing "memeME").
