The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That is very cool news, Teppy. YAY

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I've been thinking about the concept of moving cross country, and knowing that even though the company would be paying for it, I'm still going to end up spending lots and lots of money. Eep.

I have movers to recommend if you actually do. My (Mayflower) driver said he comes out this way a lot. They were great.

And congrats to Teppy!

Swouncing

Skippity to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Susan W and her DH's anniversary.

Happy day to the both of them, with wishes for a great year!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hurrah for Teppy! That is a wonderful development!

I was awake way too early due to insomnia. I may still be a bit excited over this "school" thing.... and of course, I have to leave almost immediately now!

Trust my rage

Happy Anniversary to Susan! (eta: and Dylan, of course)

This has always been true for us. The Army supposedly pays for all our moving-related expenses, and they always get us the money eventually, but we also always find ourselves $3,000-$4,000 poorer by the time life settles back to normal.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ridiculous question: I'm watching a movie from TV, and I just realized it's letterboxed, even though I have the new wide TV. Do I have to be watching HD channels (or DVDs?) to get the full-screen action?

Your TV is 16:9 (1.78:1), and most features are 1.85:1, so even on a widescreen TV, movies will be letterboxed (or cropped/stretched).

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

IME, I have seen very few 1.85:1 features that haven't been cropped by whatever network is airing them, even though the leave only a tiny black bar at the top and bottom of the screen.

Oh really? I don't have a widescreen TV, so for me everything's always letterboxed.

And in I-am-twelve news, the Overstock.com tab on this browser currently reads "Size Queen Sheet Sets." Hee.

But if we avoid planting there and in the septic reserve area, we'll barely have anything!

Just don't plant any aggressive water seeking things with insano root systems. To be fair, my parents didn't plant the willow. It planted itself. It's a very opportunistic plant.

Everyone needs to come and visit me more often.
