Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

1 flannel, 4 cotton. Lots and lots of extra pillowcases, all of which get used, as I like lots and lots of extra pillows. I'd be perfectly happy with the 3 decent cotton sets and that's it -- it's enough for the wash rotation, and anyway the flannel is too warm and the just-moved-too-tired-to-unpack-let's-go-to-Target-right-now set is as enduringly uncomfortable as its cheapness promised.

(It's possible that I think too much about my sheets. As much as I hate shopping for clothes, I love shopping for sheets. Yay sheets!)

I blame all of you for the fact that I just ordered new sheets.

BD, this is pretty much the traditional Alfredo: [link] . The key is to use good cream and cheese, and bring it all together quickly -- it's not something that improves with a lot of simmering and sitting around and extra ingredients. Also, that recipe lacks salt -- be sure to taste first, and then salt AND pepper to taste.

(And lest I forget - go you! Cooking for girl!)

Hmm. I may have to try this Modal thingie sarameg has. I Googled, because I couldn't remember, even though I know we've had the sheets conversation before, and they sound lovely.

I don't have an alfredo recipe, BigD. I usually just go to epicurious.com anymore when I need a recipe. Man, life before the internet was hard, with the flipping actual pages to look stuff up. From indexes. Indices. Whatever.

And? What kind are they? Please to share with the class.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like foodnetwork.com for recipes, too, because they have a lot that are easy and/or healthy, and it's usually pretty easy to tell which are which from the search results. I'm guessing alfredo would fall in the first category, not the second!

Chocolate! I was thinking I wanted some dark brown sheets next. Excellent choice.
