BD, this is pretty much the traditional Alfredo: [link] . The key is to use good cream and cheese, and bring it all together quickly -- it's not something that improves with a lot of simmering and sitting around and extra ingredients. Also, that recipe lacks salt -- be sure to taste first, and then salt AND pepper to taste.

Hmm. I may have to try this Modal thingie sarameg has. I Googled, because I couldn't remember, even though I know we've had the sheets conversation before, and they sound lovely.
I don't have an alfredo recipe, BigD. I usually just go to epicurious.com anymore when I need a recipe. Man, life before the internet was hard, with the flipping actual pages to look stuff up. From indexes. Indices. Whatever.

And? What kind are they? Please to share with the class.

I like foodnetwork.com for recipes, too, because they have a lot that are easy and/or healthy, and it's usually pretty easy to tell which are which from the search results. I'm guessing alfredo would fall in the first category, not the second!
Chocolate! I was thinking I wanted some dark brown sheets next. Excellent choice.
