We have about what you have, Robin, but right now it's a little bit more because we recently switched from a full to a king bed (and thus, inexplicably, have queen and king sheets). But pretty much we have the one set we usually use and the one set of flannel.

I am missing several of my pillowcases though. I am suspicious that they have gone walkabout as either gig bags or art storage containers during our most recent move. Which I know was almost a year ago, and we need to figure out where they are.

I have one set of flannel and three sets of cotton. That way I'm not obligated to wash them right away if I change the linens.

I have a lot, because I don't tend to throw sets away when they get worn out or stained, plus my mother and sister both like giving me sheet sets as presents for some odd reason.

I have two sets of flannel sheets, three and a half sets of cotton sheets (two fitted sheets that go with one flat), two odd fitted sheets and every so many odd flat sheets. But I only use the flat sheets on the guest bed and if I have to make a bed on the futon.

I finally got rid of the worn out/stained ones when I moved. The flat sheets that were in good shape got sent to the Sally Ann, the others got used as rags or drop cloths.

I have one set I use all the time- the non-knit beech bark ones (can't recall what they are called properly.) They get washed every 2 weeks. I also have a couple sets of flannel and one of generic cotton, but I don't use them much anymore other than for guests, cause I like the beech ones so much. They're very silky and thin.

It cracks me up that as I sit here at the computer, Devi is sitting about a foot and a half away, back to me, purring. Proximity makes her happy, I guess.

Yeah, that's us and towels. Since we had the attempted elopement thwarted, we had actual wedding presents and an actual wedding, but hadn't registered anywhere. So everyone just gave us towels. We had all these towels. I'm just now (coming up on our fourteenth anniversary) pretty much through them.

That's one of the things I'm looking forward to; buying fresh sets of matching linens. And buying linen. I love linen. It's probably my favorite fabric.

My mom's favorite sheets are as old as their marriage. They're REALLY thin and won't last much longer. Took about 20 years to work through all their wedding towels.

I actually have the embroidered dish cloths (not terry cloth, linen or cotton) my grandmother made for them. They're falling apart and will never be snowy white again, but I keep and use them for sentimental reasons.

I have accomplished: going to the pet store to pick up femalt AND cat food. (They had the special IAMS for cats with sensitive tummies - like my Ivan - who ironically is also the cat I have who is most likely to break into the garbage. Although, it could be that those two things are related.) Also, groceries and the FNL tv show soundtrack. (Only about $10.50 at Walmart.)

And I discovered that bus fare went up. (Okay to $.75 - but if you're planning on $.50 each way -- you may not have enough change.) The buses, of course, do not change dollar bills.
