That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Have fun at the BBQ, ChiKat!

Lee, watch for me too--there may be a quiz.

Well, I realized last night when I went to bed that I had left my flatiron on all day (about 12 hours) sitting on my bed, and it had burned my sheets, but luckily not burned down my house. I suspect the fact that there was a fan blowing on it probably kept the bed from going up.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Eek, Vortex. I'm glad nothing happened.

Auto shut-offs are a wonderful thing, let me tell you...

So I got up early (for a day off) with the intent of making the most of the day.

Then I didn't get showered and dressed until 1:30.

Oh well.

Guess I'll make a target run and then get some lunchmeat.

Were they the good sheets? Invariably, when something spills, or snags and rips, it's the good sheets, the Egyptian cotton ones that I never could have afforded except on deepdeepdeep(deep!)discount. The scratchy blends? Nothing ever happens to.

no, not particularly good, but I liked them. It's the end of the bed, so I can still use them.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

How many sets of sheets do most folks have? We use white flannel from The Company Store, which is cool in summer and warm in winter. We have the set we use, which we wash weekly. Then we have our "retired" set, to pull out if something happens to our main set. We also have one set (with monkeys!) for the guest bed, and some extra pillowcases. That's it. Having the world's smallest linen closet contributes to our non-sheet having.

I have two or three sets of cotton sheets and two sets of flannel.
