See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I like Porter Square books a lot. And sara, I will ask for your friend's email, but not yet! Still a pipe dream!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Morning all!

Happy Labor Day, for the US folks.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

...And Happy Labour Day, for the Canadians.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

To celebrate Labo(u)r Day, I'm sitting out on my patio!

Well, I'd be doing that anyway, on this nice a morning, but I'm doing it more festively than usual. I had a cookie!

That too!

I'm going to celebrate by going back to bed, once I shoot up Ozzie.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Jesse, one of my close girlfriends is finishing up her business degree with her eye on opening up a kids bookstore here in KC. There's a lot of resources in KC -- and I'd imagine other cities -- grants and such for female small business owners.

There's also a lot of stuff out there for people who want more info. I could ask Nik for a rec on the best books she's read on the subject, if you like.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Happy Labo(u)r Day to North Americans, all.

So what is everyone up to today? Theo and Lee have inspired me to ask.

I, alas, must work. I have to plan out this semester a little more specifically, so I'm starting with September-October. Other than that, I'm just trying to stay cool.

Surfing B&N to order more books for my classroom, working on lesson plans for next week, getting quarters and doing laundry, mop kitchen floor, get 8 bazillion books off my bedroom floor and straighten my bedroom.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was cat-sitting at a friend's house, where I spent the night. The kitty is still a kitten, and very affectionate.

Today I'm supposed to set up a VPN for a friend's office. Previous attempts have failed, so we'll see how well I do today....

I should also do some cleaning and laundry. Can't decide if housework or VPN should come first, so I'm currently compromising and doing neither.

I did some illustrations for work earlier, and since it's overcast figure I'll go see Becoming Jane at the movies today. Also, maybe some painting later in the afternoon.
