Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

PHew, it's about 90+ degrees here, so not a good choice for a birthday party, but it went pretty well all things considered. The bouncy house was less populated than usual, but the Cars viewing in the den was a big hit. As were the mimosas.

How much do I love Noah's allnighter t-shirt? THIS much. He is such a darling little boy, and his sister is pretty as a doll. Buffistas babies are doing well today. Matilda is clearly extra adorable as well. The pointing trick is too much.

As for me, I'm tired. And yet? still drinking leftover champagne. Oh, plus any nearby LAistas who are in sore need of cake should come by this weekend. We have lots, and it's good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just had a delicious cheeseburger that didn't look like enough, even though I knew it was a perfectly reasonable (if not even larger than necessary!) portion. And now I'm full! So that's good.

Although I wouldn't say no to some cake. Glad the party went well, Burrell.

Jesse, if I could send it over the internets, I would. We have SO MUCH left. Plus bagels, but I'm down with bagels.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I have apple pie in the refrigerator. This may motivate me eventually to put down the laptop and mosey back into the house. It's been a nigh-perfect 68 degrees here today, and I not only reviewed all my notes from school this week and read through chapters in the text book, I wrote Actual Fiction words, too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have one room painted, and I'm exhausted. And covered in paint.

Look at you guys, all productive! I felt great when I woke up this morning, but like crap by the time I got home after a nearly 2 hour bus ride. So I've done some serious lounging.

I think cake freezes OK, Burrell, if that's any help.

Art Crawl!!!

I know! I'm the slackeriest slacker ever. Other than tossing out bad food and doing some dishes I have mainly watched tv or dvds and played online.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I've been mainlining Friday Night Lights and in between eps, I have cleaned out a closet, put together 4 bags of stuff for donation, changed the litter, and gotten another full bag of trash. I've been productively lounging.

Are we the last bastion of the internets? I can't get through to anywhere but here.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just turned the computer on, but my internets seem to work fine for the time being.

I worked at the bookstore yesterday and today, but since it was relatively light both days, I was able to go home at 3:00 (two hours early on Saturday and one today). It was so quiet that I was able to get some bookshelves dusted (usually impossible to do on a weekend).

I'm donating platelets at 7:15 in the morning (too damn early!), but after that, the day's my own. It's supposed to get up to 88 degrees tomorrow, so I'll probably spend some of the day at the outdoor pool here at my apartment complex, dodging kids in the water and catching some rays.
