That's about 2 blocks from my office...
It's in my building. On the other side of the wall I'm sitting next to right now.

D'oh! That's what I get for skimming.
Don't worry Trudy:
The FBI's Hazardous Materials Response Unit is coordinating with New York police and other agencies to remove and dispose of the material, FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said.
"There is no hazard to the people of New York from this incident," Kolko added.
eta: and Jessica
(I wonder if that spokesman is part of the crack team.)
What a comfort.
You'd think Day 1 at Quantico would be: Watch all the doors.
(Day 2 could be: Mulder, Scully -- turn on the damn light)
Y'know what I want? I want a grilled cheese with tomatoes and onions from home, and I want Mr. Jane to bring it to me and hang out while I eat it because I miss him.
Aw.
I just got the most ridiculous email about the work "outing" we're having next week. For one thing, we have to pick between chicken salad or tuna salad sandwiches. Maybe I don't want to eat a mayo-based sandwich that's been sitting around all morning? At least we found out from our mole on the committee that we won't actually have to come back to the office after the outing ends at 3:30.
job~ma to Kathy A and Jilli, and safe~ma to Trudy and Jess!

That is just weird. Haven't they heard of a sandwich tray?
I just found out that my raise, which was supposed to be retro-active to July 1 will probably not be, as the law prevents someone from going salaried retro-actively. Or something (I am not clear, and I am hearing about it fifth hand). Hey- big!Boss, perhaps you should check with someone before promising me that repeatedly. Perhaps I should tell HR I am going to sue because I worked like a salaried person for the two months when I was told it was just a formality!. Thankfully, I am less annoyed than I could be, because I work for a university and the bureacracy is craxy AND managers are not business people with real-life training, they are professors and nurses and such, so they don't check things out.
You should consider yourselves all under orders to keep your jobs!
While I was making lunch, my shipment from Amazon arrived -- I CAN HAZ TEXBOOKS!1!! Now I feel like a real student and everything, although my university ID won't be ready until Tuesday.
Alright, where in the theater district can I have brunch before a show? This should not be so tricky!!!!

This is what I'm saying. I'm going to bet the sandwich tray we order for meetings is too expensive to waste on the staff. Maybe I'll just pick up something normal on the way over to the park. We have to bring our own chairs and blankets, too.
