Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am told that this video is a recent and wildly popular thing in Japan. Here's an English subtitled YouTube of "the butt biting bug song," Oshiri kajiri mushi. Video Link. It gives me acid flashbacks. "Tight asses and hard asses and beaten asses and shriveled asses." In what universe do these constitute appropriate lyrics for children's music?

Always Anti-fascist!

Netflix says people here in Phoenix rent him all the time. I personally find his comedy obnoxious and racist, but apparently I really do rent movies as if I am from Baltimore.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This plantar shit sucks. Thanks for the tips.

If I don't get a handle on this, and quickly, I can't even teach krav.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The guys I know that like him have rather immature senses of humor.

His name isn't actually Carlos Mencia... it's Ned Holdis. He's from somewhere in the northern mid-west. He's an image he has sold to do well with the hispanic Californians.

His mother's name is Mencia (Holness was his Honduran father's name). He's obviously latino. Kid Rock was raised in a rich, white Detroit suburb, not a trailer park. And Dave Chappell spent half his childhood in Yellow Springs, OH.

I think a lot of artists find a schtick and make it pay off.

Dave Chappelle is who he pretends to be in his default standup image.

I think that's what standup is. I just don't happen to like that particular shtick.(Which word now reminds me of somebody Mom worked with who sang a particular Barry White lyric as "Quitting just ain't my stick," because she didn't get the Yiddish.)

Of course, my shtick may be overstating the extent to which I don't fit with the local hooples.

I believe that. I loved his interview on Inside the Actor's Studio. I think he's smart and funny. His parents are both professors, aren't they? I know his dad taught at Antioch.

I don't watch Mencia and really only know what I see on the endless ads on Comedy Central.

Of course, my shtick may be overstating the extent to which I don't fit with the local hooples.

Heh. That or wicked smart commentary on life, death and crime.

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

Dave's Inside The Actor's studio was hilarious. I think he was just as confused as I was that he was asked to do it. It is one of my favorite episodes by far.
