Wow. Just read that Ernie Butler died. Not that that'd ring a bell with anyone except perhaps Brenda--there are two solid comedy venues in Montreal, and he ran one of them: Comedy Nest. A lot of my friends will be grieving his loss.

Aw, crap -- Richard Jewell, who was falsely accused in the Atlanta Olympic bombing, died at age 44 today. I feel particularly bad because he really was a hero -- his timely action moved a lot of people away from the bomb and easily saved dozens of lives, and instead he got screwed over by law enforcement and the media. He deserved to live many more years, vindicated.
