Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Just stay away from the Floyd Patterson (guy on left) look.

Oh, I wouldn't change the length from what it is now. At cutting time I leave a bit at the front about twice the length (a whopping 12mm) of the rest, and it's lighter for having been bleached more often than the rest too.

Speaking of cheating in sports and scandals thereof, I skimmed through SI's top 25 non-drug-related sports scandals, and am agog at Rosie Ruiz. Of all the cheaters, she's the one I'd most like to slap. That's just...wrong. And marathoning is nowhere dear to my heart.

Paperdol, the problem is you have a lower opinion of yourself than your public does. If you can pretend for an hour that we're not all terribly terribly misled about you (and that "we" includes Tim, natch), you'll get through it fine.

What's happening to you...what you earned is so damned cool. Breathe deeply, and even if you can't relax enough to enjoy it, don't let it distress you.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ita speaks true, paperdol. Aside from everything else trust this: what you wrote is very much your voice.

How people respond to that is an honest and fair appraisal.

So if it succeeds (as it is), then it is true and earned.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Rosie Ruiz. Of all the cheaters, she's the one I'd most like to slap. That's just...wrong. And marathoning is nowhere dear to my heart.

No shit. What a cooze.

What ita said, paperdol. Especially the fucking earned part.

Also, my parents finally got a copy. Dad left work early. I interrupted my mom's reading. She made a point of that. Mainly, you're in the acknowlegements! You called before I read more! Ah, parents.

Read the book, mom. And paperdol? Thank you. Really.

More hilariously, I had to explain EW to the 'rents.

My sister will be buying herself a copy when she visits NY next month, but that reminds me, dolly dol, that the fam wants a signed-by-the-author copy for their selves.

I let one of the instructors (the 17 year old) read my chapter. Her comments were "Curvalicious?" and "Oh! She talks about you like you're nice!"

Kids today, I swear.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Oh! She talks about you like you're nice!"

Heh.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

HA! M is so cute and she's right! You aren't nice. polite, yes. Colin = much nicer.

I need to do something with my hair. I am liking it being all a shade darker than my natural. But I miss the pink. It's a dilemma.

Bwah! That's even funnier when I picture her saying it.

The fuck?

Someone apparently jumped or fell out/off of my building and landed on the roof of a garage next door. (My building is 6 stories tall. Maybe he fell out a window not all the way up?) Anyway, paramedics are getting him off the roof of the garage now. There was a lot of screaming a few minutes ago as they put him on a stretcher.

Sounds like a broken leg/foot is the worst of his injuries.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oy, tommy! That is NO way to have to wake up!

Me, it's much less dramatic, what with the stubborn cats at 5:30, but still nicer than that.
