'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

The kitten CuteOverload vid that Kathy A linked to is really super. Especially because the kittens are taking turns hiding inside the box....

Art Crawl!!!

That puppy looks like a shamelessly adorable critter who's going to rule everything in sight with her tiny iron paw. I love her!

Well, sure -- that was a given.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Doesn't this puppy look like a basenji?

oh, da widdle FACE!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Puppy! Puppy!

Sorry, that is what puppies do to me.

Also, I have a mild headache, I don't want to be at work, and I am cranky.

And I just got a promotion with a 10% raise. Which isn't very much as I only make $27,000, but it is really the best one can hope to do here, and if I watch my spending and do the theatre for one more year, I might be able to get out of my credit card debt, in which case $29,700 will work just fine for me! The other nice thing is that the promotion is just a reclassification, which means I don't have to change my job, I am just getting paid more and have a better title.

Congrats Sophia! That's no small potatoes.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

That's great news, Sophia! About time they gave you some props -- not to mention the 10%!

I agree - that's excellent!

I can only look longingly at the words "10 percent raise" - we have been getting 3 percent raises here.

Of course, this year we don't have a budget so who knows what is going to happen.

Congratulations, Sophia! $2700 is not chicken scratch, for sure!

Thanks guys! My boss thought it would be a bigger raise, because she is appalled at how little the administrative staff makes (she is a nurse), but I didn't.

We have been getting 2% raises here, sumi, too. They actually reclassified my position as "Administrative Assistant" which is considered a salaried professional position, as opposed to Secretary IV, which is an hourly support staff position, but I have the same duties.

Also, has anyone else seen the romance novel covers, especially the first one? [link] I suggest reading the comments because they are comedy gold!

Because books.

Yay Sophia! That's awesome news.

IembarrassingN, I actually wrote the back cover copy for the third book down in that link, Big Spankable Asses. That was an ... interesting freelance job.
