Those Tula boots look cool!

What is it with cats and boxes?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What is it with cats and boxes?

Now I need to get four kittens and a box.

ION, I am watching Letter From Iwo Jima. Just after I watched Flags of Our Fathers.

War is heck.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Another round of "how do you pronounce that?": Do you say "Naomi" as nay-oh-mi or nie-oh-mi? And do you say "Jordana" as Jor-dan-na or Jor-dah-na (middle a like "ran" or like "father")?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I say nay-oh-mi. I've never said Jordana. Until now. Jordana, Jordana. I think I'd go with father.

In my news about me, tonight's rehearsal sucked. I suck. I need to work a hell of a lot harder, but I don't have the fucking time. Gah.

The SO says I did fine. But I feel like I had the best possible monitoring and other singers, but I still couldn't pull it off. I am so screwed for Labor Day's shows.

And they swapped out what shirt I'm supposed to wear. Now I have to find something black (which, okay, I have tons of black) but the other two singers will match perfectly, and I should get something similar. I already bought something from the thrift store, but thankfully it only cost three bucks.

Irritated. Mostly at myself, which makes it worse.

Oh, oh, and Laga's other thread makeup woes thankfully reminded me that I'll probably be expected to wear makeup, too. I hate makeup. This gig is going to cost me. All the pay is going into the new mixer. I'd rather not get paid at all. I hate money.

Why am I so freaking grumpy? I need to get over myself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most of those boots are very nice, but I like this silhouette the most.

Just finished flipping through the Lucky magazine that Kat brought for me when I was in hospital. Man, I don't get the target audience for it. Most of the stuff was too expensive, considering they didn't seem to be prestige or exceptionally high-quality stuff.

I mean, a magazine where I find the makeup bits more relevant and interesting than the fashion? Just weird.

Liese, I hope you can make it through this without flipping like a mammal. My mother's advice would be "Clear thinking," which works in many contexts.

Off to bed for me. I think I stayed up 15 minutes too late. So near, and yet so far.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Today is Meet the Preschool Teacher Day. I'm torn between excited, worried and wondering if I should make book on how long it will be before O is kicked out of the class.

Is it wrong to stand in front of the coffeemaker and yell, "FASTER!"?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Just get caffeine pills, Cash. They get absorbed pretty fast.

I had a long and elaborate dream about preparing for an alien invasion, plus then tracking on a map as media outlets cut out and not being able to reach anybody on B.Org on the West Coast!

The fact that I'm having a lousy job hunt has probably got nothing to do with the dream subject matter/angst... right?
