Our wings are not tired

What are people doing this weekend?

Watching all of the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th movies.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Huh. Pellegrino Dine Out: $25 lunch or $35 gourmet dinner of which $1 goes to charity.

I'm trying to work out if I've been terribly ruined by LA, but judging from the two menus I've peeked at so far, looks like great value for the money.

And now I'm hungry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap. My freezer is currently packed to the gills with Omaha Steak products. It's hilarious! And also motivated me to throw out some stuff that had been in there way too long.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

What are people doing this weekend?

There's an airshow at the KC downtown airport this weekend, I'm trying to decide if I'm going to go.

Compassionately intolerant

10 miles tomorrow, despite the torn up feet. I'm tough that way. Besides, the heat index is going to be somewhere between 105 and 110...so I'm betting my feet will be the least of my worries.

Sunday? Recovering, listening to Deathly Hallows on cd and lolling about.

I spent 4.5 hours at Georgetown Running getting fit for new shoes that will hopefully get me through the Marathon without the brutality of last week.

DC and NoVA-istas...I can't say enough about the fellows at Georgetown Running (34th and M). They rocked like rocking things, were super knowledgeable and had way more patience than I.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH signed up for a 5K tomorrow. I'm not up to the distance just yet. It's a dog run (meaning you take your pets) but I think it will be too hot to take Sam.

I worked out and got around to installing and charging my new laptop battery after the kids were in bed.

All in all, a productive Friday night.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, be careful with those. Chicago doesn't do dog runs anymore - though they do have walks - after a hot weekend a few years ago during the "Bark in the Park" festival that ended in multiple tragedies.
