It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So what are people having/did they have for lunch?

Not that I am avoiding work or anything.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I brought leftover pasta e fagioli that I cooked on Tuesday. But it turned out kinda bland, and I just saw that today is sweet potato fries day in the cafeteria, so...

(Also not avoiding work, not me, no never)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was a little sweet and gloppy, but generally good.

Then I had to tell my minion that, of three possible conferences, she has to go to the one with the least-exciting location and the least-preferred other coworkers going. (Including our crazy boss.) Ah well. I guess that's what you get for beeing the n00b.

Punishingly Intricate

So what are people having/did they have for lunch?

I had leftover thing I made last night from the new Latin American food issue of Gourmet. Scrambled eggs, tortilla chips, chorizo, and onion. YUM! Super easy and bad 4 you! Also, some grape tomatoes and carrots. Later I will have a pluot.

and maybe some afternoon caffeine. I'm very, very tired.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That takedown of the WSJ article deserves an "oh, snap!"

I don't know what lunch is today (we haven't been getting that email yet). Everyone else's sounds good though.

I did a "do you know this quote" meme in my LJ, [link] and there were two left over.

Do you know who said these:
I want this now. This is important to me. I'm an adult and I wanna grow a goatee.

My ass is not pansy.

Imagining wee Matilda as Maggie will amuse me for a very large portion of the day.

Does this mean Matilda will sound like Elizabeth Taylor when she starts talking?

Wasn't this Wesley (talking to Gunn)?
