Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I only WISH I had an orb and some root!

Supposably the sun will come out sometime in the next few days.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh my God- I think I am going to burn in hell. I about to maim my annoying cow-orker who is working aloud again. Seriously, we don't have cubes, we have offices, and I can hear every god damn thing she is saying! Because she reads her emails aloud! Stop it!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sophia, you're reminding me of the Scrubs episode where J.D. wanted to break up with his girlfriend because she never laughed. She only said, "Oh, my god, that's so funny. That's SO funny."

Ann, that's a ferret.

More Teddy news. He's seeing a holistic vet for acupuncture in addition to the regular and more traditional vets. In the good news, he loves the acupuncture.

We took him last night for acupuncture and the usual sub-Q fluids. He spent the entire time in my lap. That's literally the first time he has ever voluntarily stayed in a lap in his almost 14 years. At the very end, he even decided he wanted to explore a little before getting back into the carrier. And after we got home, he decided to explore the house instead of staying in one of his favorite corners.

We aren't sure whether or how much he ate, but I doubt he'd have so much energy if he weren't eating.

On the other hand, he's fighting harder than ever against his meds. And this morning, we had to look all over the house before we found him curled up in the coat closet. (And yes, the pills took forever.)

I think that would annoy me, too, Dana! But, she there is a breakroom and another office between mine and hers, I don't need to be intimately involved in her every move. Actually, I should be happy that I am not the person working across from her, because anooying cow-orker is actually reading her emails aloud TOO the person across from her. Person across from her pretty much just ignores it, but I could not! I actually hate getting this annoyed, and normally try very hard not to, so I have now put on headphones. That can be problematic, because my boss sometimes yells for me, and need to be able to hear her (I know, that is pretty annoying, too)

ETA- Poor Teddy and {{{Fred}}}!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey--no one has an idea of a suitable size of bat mitvah money gift? Or are there too many unknowns in the question?`

Too many layers of annoyance!

Librarian Warlord

bat mitvah money gift

Someone above mentioned that it should be in multiples of 18, because it represents chai. I think that $36 checks are quite common.

Article on Reading

According to the article 27% of Americans did not read a book in the last year. That means 73% did, which is kinda better than I would expect. There are some interesting stats about who reads what in the article too. I dunno if audio books would count, my count of books read would go up a bit if I counted stuff I listen to while commuting.
