For that price it should be a spider pig.
Huh. Don't know if this was posted here or not, but apparently, in the list of cities with the costliest commutes, Los Angeles doesn't even make the top ten. Cinci does.
Because our public transportation SUCKS.
*preens in the number 1 spot*
Though, honestly, it's not like the traffic is the number one problem. It's tangiental to the main issue, which is that huge numbers of people commute from far-flung suburbs that are 20, 30, 40 miles out. I know land/housing is cheaper there, and schools are better, but you will not catch me volunteering for a 90-minute commute in each direction.

That's a lot of Dallas's problem too. It's getting worse because they're knocking down all the affordable housing in the little neighborhoods in the city to build monstrosities that go for half a mil.

I'd consider it, if it was by train, so I could read. And if the trains had internet access. And if I could sleep on the train. And if the train had a Quiet Car where there was no cellphone use, so I could sleep.
Actually, the Amtrak train from Chicago to Milwaukee has a Quiet Car....
Wow -- I hate everyone today. Why am I so tired? No good reason. Also, my forearms are all bruised and ow-y.
I am about to go to a meeting that will go like this.
We have things set like X.
Here's why.
It looks bad in cases of "factor", butin good in cases of "other factor".
you all decide what to do.
The 90 minute commute actually works as good low stress wake-up time before work for me. Would that my car ran on water instead of liquid goldgasoline.
I've discovered that waking up with a migraine is not advisable when there will be workers hammering on your back wall all day long. I think the knowledge that the police and ambulance sirens would be even louder is the only thing preventing me from knocking their scaffold over.

For me, it would be rage-inducing "I could have been ASLEEP" time.
