My parents' house has a fireplace. It's in a corner. The mantle niche is great for displaying the antique clock and various tschotckes. The birch logs in the fireplace are lovely.

They've never used it.

But it is pretty.

Thanks to Happy Fun Migraine, the sole productive thing I have done all day was getting a haircut. But at least we got sweet blessed rain on an afternoon when I was too busy curling up into a ball to head to the pool.

As much as I love a fireplace roaring in winter, I can't see myself using one. Maybe when I get a mountain cabin and can take months off in the winter.

Dog is my co-pilot.

I so love fireplaces. Wish I could have one. But I need space even more.

Our wings are not tired

I got a ladder rack installed on the new truck today, and then we went grocery shopping. It's been a pretty productive day.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I attended a going away picnic which was very pleasant except I have a migraine that makes me want to hide in a cool dark hole for forever.

Also to possibly bemoan the fact that pretending to have a life these past few weekends has proven how much I can't sustain it.

I did not leave my apt today and it was a little slice of heaven.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Days I don't leave my apartment are usually days I spend crying from morning to night.

Not sure which is cause and which is effect, sadly.

I have to say no to myself more strongly. Otherwise I'll be banging on the ER door every fucking night. And addicted to Percocet.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I could come visit you...

And bring pie.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I swear to God. I wish I had a magic wand or could wiggle my nose and make all migraines just go away. Or, at the very least, make ita's migraines go away. Seriously, you've had your share and about 100 other people's share to boot.
