Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's unbelievable how loud it is.

I ran into my neighbor in the park this morning and he said the Raptor was going so fast you could see the air currents move around it. Freaky.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Things were rattling earlier. It was so loud that I had to pause the movie I was watching the moment I heard them coming.

I should make food. Maybe I'll start randomly throwing shit in a pot until it turns into soup.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I remember bon, and I remember Jeopardy, I just didn't know about Laga. Anyway, too cool. We iz smrt.

O, how I have missed you, internets. We were down for about five hours today. Woe. Fortunately it happened while I was mostly teaching. Now I'm back and need to procrastinate, for many are the receipts I must type. And then reconcile. And then file. More woe.

And then dishes and then folding laundry and then general housecleaning, because I am going on a mini-vacation! The SO & I are sneaking off to Albuquerque (don't tell!) so we can try to gain some sanity before we're really into the school year full tilt.

Yeah, it's not the kind of noise you can ignore. You just kind of have to grit your teeth and wait for it to end.

And let's not forget the cacophony of car alarms and freaked-out dogs following every fly-by.

Georgetown Running, as I recall. It's on M right near the bridge.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Earplugs are wonderful things. I can't stand noise.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have a random question for those of you with cats. When you scratch your cats on their lower backs, do they start licking their chest? Both of my current cats do every time, as if it's an instinctive response but I can't remember any of my previous cats doing so.

I don't recall that specific one, but all my cats or dogs have had spots that scratching triggered kicking a certain leg or lip-licking or something. I think it's more a reflex than anything.

Jack doesn't, but Trouble does. She also does the kicking thing if you get a certain spot on her side, so if you can manage both spots simultaneously? Hilarity.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Yeah, I've seen this compulsive licking behavior too.
