"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ultimate Twin Peaks DVDf

About time.

They're also reporting that Merv Griffen was gay.

Reportedly if you wanted to host Dance Fever you had to be Merv's boytoy.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sara's coming up with a PLAN! I would make some sort of palindrome, but I'm too fucking tired.

Speaking of word play, I saw an ad for "Merv Griffin's CROSSWORDS" and I immediately thought, Jesse should so be on that.

Some days, it's too hard to be awake. Today is that day. We may have child care worked out for the next two months. Lori is taking Noah tomorrow night and Robin babysat him today allowing us to see Grace.

I'm so tired I can barely see straight.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh, me too Kat. Something about the heat. I'm feeling better now, but about 3 hours ago I was having trouble staying on my feet. Too bad it took almost 2 hours to get Franny to fall asleep.

As for what I'll be doing tomorrow, stretch class (where my teacher uses the term sitting bone), then hanging pictures.

The status is NOT quo.

"Merv Griffin's CROSSWORDS

Laga's going to be on that! She auditioned a couple of months ago and got in. She was also on Win Ben Stein's Money. Two of the (many) reasons she's a very cool chick.

I'm spending much of the weekend at Outflix, with perhaps breaks to exercise and go see Reverend Billy C. Wirtz perform if best friend is free and feeling nostalgic.

This just in: Charlie David has a truly magnificent ass.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I didn't know she was on Ben Stein! I probably saw her!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My mom and I picked my sister up at Midway this afternoon. She's in town this weekend for her wedding shower (co-hosted by her godmother and MOH/best h.s. friend), and this is the first time I've seen her in over three years, and definitely the first time I've seen her since she had her gastric bypass surgery last October. Since then, she's reduced from 280 pounds to 165. Since she hit adolescence 30 years ago, the thinnest she's been was around 200 pounds almost 20 years ago.

Ho.ly.crap.

I didn't even recognize her when she came down the escalator in the terminal!

In addition to her skinny frame, she had her hair longer than it'd been since high school, so I seriously did not recognize her. I laughed when she tossed off one of her characteristically snarky remarks to me in the car, and told her that only then was I sure we'd picked up the right woman! It took until tonight before I could reconcile the New Sister with My Sister.

It was really one of the freakiest experiences I've ever had in my life.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Damn. I went out.

Grateful to the people who drove me there and back.

Damn.

I have me some teaching to do tomorrow. Why am I typing?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Last night I had an odd time falling asleep -- my leg would start hurting if I relaxed and/or let it lie still. As long as I was actively tensing it or moving it about, no problem, but just as I would relax enough to start slipping into sleep, it would start sharply aching/cramping.

Eventually painkillers seem to have helped, but weird or what?
