So now we know who the weather junkies are....
Natter 53: We could just avoid making tortured puns
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have 59 minutes (WTF?) off today! Thank you, Dean!
(We will most likely get some storms and it's already windy out, but nothing severe, I don't think.)
Most of the computer models are putting Dean's landfall in Mexico.
Except for the one that has it smacking the hell out of LA. Lovely.
Well, I don't have Nash to tell me what the hurricanes are going to do, anymore, so I make do with wunderground.com
Eta: I think that one is pure linear regression, not taking actual current conditions into account, Dana. It's been a while since I actually read up on the different models, though.
the historical models make me think that a straight run and hit on LA is unlikely.
Thanks weather nerds. Looks like Mexico is out for a quick vacation, and here's hoping the damage is minimal, no matter where it falls.
Aw, dag, and I won't get to see it for a whole 'nother year. (I think that is a diamond Timberlands are too tight problem, don't you?)
Weird. I'm on Ft. Buchanan now and everything is all shuttered up for the storm. The wind is blowing and the sky is very cloudy. I know we arent going to get hit with much but it's still a bit creepy. Probably not to fl and la types, though.
Hi, I just read two days worth of posts.
Flea, I am so very sorry about the job. Big Boss is evil.
We have glitter for kid crafts. Small kid + full glitter jar == Glittageddon.
If I hadn't JUST changed my name, I would change it to Glittageddon. A related apocalypse is the Confettigeddon, which occurred in the seventh grade when a friend and I threw a New Year's Eve party that haunted her living room for years to come; and also the TaterTotGeddon, which occurred during a drunken high school party in which we we forgot to EAT the Tater Tots, and therefore decided to battle with cold, waxy Tots. The latter led to bugs. Mom was not pleased.
Ick ick ick. I clicked on the link ita mentioned. Why did I click on the link ita mentioned?!?! Stupid stupid stupid...
I caught the final episode of "That 70's Show" for the first time last night. I love syndication. I got all teary eyed. Such a fun show. I hardly ever watched it when it was on, its been all about the re-runs for me.
The kiddie stuff I ordered from Oriental Trading Company just arrived, and the little stuffed animals are completely adorable! Also, the bride and groom duckies are teeny-tiny, which I didn't expect, but even cuter because of it. The kids are going to have fun with this stuff!
In other news, I am SOOOO happy its Friday!! I'm going to see Hairspray this weekend (the show, not the movie), which should be fun. It'll be just me and the Moms - Ross has relented, and is going to get his tuxedo and hang out with his best man Saturday (did you hear me sighing with relief?), so it'll be girls night here.
Oh dear. I have my iPod on shuffle and "Dick in a Box" just came on, and I snorked SO LOUDLY I'm surprised no one has come to investigate.
