Hi, I just read two days worth of posts.

Flea, I am so very sorry about the job. Big Boss is evil.

We have glitter for kid crafts. Small kid + full glitter jar == Glittageddon.

If I hadn't JUST changed my name, I would change it to Glittageddon. A related apocalypse is the Confettigeddon, which occurred in the seventh grade when a friend and I threw a New Year's Eve party that haunted her living room for years to come; and also the TaterTotGeddon, which occurred during a drunken high school party in which we we forgot to EAT the Tater Tots, and therefore decided to battle with cold, waxy Tots. The latter led to bugs. Mom was not pleased.

Ick ick ick. I clicked on the link ita mentioned. Why did I click on the link ita mentioned?!?! Stupid stupid stupid...

I caught the final episode of "That 70's Show" for the first time last night. I love syndication. I got all teary eyed. Such a fun show. I hardly ever watched it when it was on, its been all about the re-runs for me.

The kiddie stuff I ordered from Oriental Trading Company just arrived, and the little stuffed animals are completely adorable! Also, the bride and groom duckies are teeny-tiny, which I didn't expect, but even cuter because of it. The kids are going to have fun with this stuff!

In other news, I am SOOOO happy its Friday!! I'm going to see Hairspray this weekend (the show, not the movie), which should be fun. It'll be just me and the Moms - Ross has relented, and is going to get his tuxedo and hang out with his best man Saturday (did you hear me sighing with relief?), so it'll be girls night here.

Oh dear. I have my iPod on shuffle and "Dick in a Box" just came on, and I snorked SO LOUDLY I'm surprised no one has come to investigate.

I'm off to test my local reference librarians! I feel like a secret shopper...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So you say you need a cool early sixties style icon that isn't Audrey Hepburn? Stereolab suggests Jean Seberg.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Hec, I was at a loft party last night, and the loft seemed like something you might find cool. It's located [link] here. All sort of retro 60s and neo classical in black white and hot pink. On one wall there are three huge panels of Christian Lacoix black and silver wall paper.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So Tony Snow is going to leave before the end of the Bush administration because of "financial pressure." Because the $170,000 salary he makes as press secretary apparently isn't enough.

I know he's being treated for cancer, but really? Am I just being an insensitive bitch?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I know he's being treated for cancer, but really? Am I just being an insensitive bitch?

Those people aren't like you and me. It might be fun to dally a bit in a 170k/year job, but time is running out for him to get a job that pays some serious money.

Really, can you even afford more than one house on 170k?

Art Crawl!!!

Didn't they say when Rove resigned that people had to leave by Labor Day or stay 'til the end of Bush's administration?

So, I guess he prefers to leave.

Always Anti-fascist!

No. Or if you are, let's start a club. Because that is just craxy...although I could see that lying all the time could put pressure on a person.
