I have a meeting at work at 2 pm. I am home with the sick children, one of whom is asleep. mr. flea is supposed to be back from his meeting in Raleigh in time for me to get to my meeting.
My question is, is he planning to bring a teleporter to get me there in time?
but if they're talking about clumsy undirected motion
Yes, but I don't think the headline is refering to Asian markets moving with clumsy, undirected motion. I think it is refering to the Asian markets
sinking like a stone,
in which case the word they want is definitely "founder."

If mr. flea brings home a teleporter and you use it to go to a meeting at work, I will be so disappointed in you!
speaking of filming, there seems to be a big production going on at the old entertainment pier here in Fells Pt. (that is, what was the Homicide "headquarters"). Loads of trucks and huge lights and what not. I wonder if it's for the Wire? They are in their last month of filming here and it would be kind of cool if they used that space for some of their last eps.
I always think of founder in the nautical context-- I think flounder is fine, but falter is best. And my opinions have recently been certified by a lexicographer!
Does anyone else get certain pop-ups that try to install MS Access on your system? Fucking HuffPost just did that to me, and it makes me crazy. It's why I don't visit Snopes or the NY Post if I don't have to, and generally denotes a website I have a poor opinion of.
I dislike sites that throw a lot of pop-ups at you, but I also have two or three different pop-up blockers running at once, so I rarely notice any more.
I suspect J. Average Person wouldn't know 'founder' unless they'd grown up by a bay or something. SIGH

WTF?
That makes no sense to me.
Also, I think 'founder' and 'flounder' work equally well. 'Founder' has the more severe meaning, however - whatever is foundering generally ain't coming back.

Could be. I read that Richard Belzer just finished a guest appearance as John Munch on an upcoming episode of The Wire.

Yeah, it happens on my work machine all the time. I blame IE.
