I found the article insightful but a bit on the oh-no side.
I hate when it's a brajillion degrees out. it makes me and my son CRANKTASTIC.
Happy Birthday to Dylan.

The funniest thing about that post is that when I was in Kent, I went to a restaurant where they had "pussy pie" on the menu. We had to order it, of course. We were laughing so hard the waitress had to ask twice.
Um, Cashmere... what was in it?
Holy crap! THAT'S MY THERAPIST! That's the therapist that helped Bec and me during our marriage breakup! Bec and TOG are in that group! (Not Clem and Marie, of course.)
Holy crap! That's just weird!
Um, Cashmere... what was in it?
Chocolate and whipped cream and I dunno what else. Simon said it tasted awful. And NOT like pussy. or even pie. I think it was a drink.
I may have been a little drunk at the time and the details are getting hazier.

That is just bizarre in a "small world" kind of way.
Hey shrift and Jilli - did you see Idolator ranked Patrick Stump as the second-hottest dude in music?
Yep. I am baffled as to how he ranked hotter than Gerard Way, but I'm biased like that.

The world is shrinking again, isn't it?
Then why hasn't anyone visited me in Melbourne yet? Pfft. Slackers.
well, I might be in Sydney in 2008, I'll try to stop by.
My mom and I just got back from dinner in Greektown (Chicago-istas, if you're in the mood for good Greek food on Halsted, Pegasus is excellent) with my SIL and nephew Clayton, who are in town from NJ looking at colleges for him.
They checked out UIC, DePaul, and Roosevelt, and he's hooked on the idea of Chicago for college. He prefers either Roosevelt or DePaul, mostly because of their downtown campusus and shared dormitory on State Street in the south Loop. My SIL, OTOH, has fond memories of her college experience with a separate campus environment and preferred that aspect of UIC. But, she has sworn to herself that she'd leave the decision up to him (this is big for her, since she has always been a very controlling/protective mother and they have always butted heads since practically the moment he was born), so I'm guessing he'll be applying to both DePaul and Roosevelt for computer programming.
I told him I'd always be available if he needed to get away from campus/wanted a free dinner/needed a ride to a Walmart or other store, and he's got his grandpa (my dad) down near Joliet, too. I want to be the cool local aunt, but definitely expect him to be too busy to actually contact me more than once or (maybe) twice a semester.

Cool! If you can't, I'll come up to Sydney at some point.

It is, rather. She is, incidentally, a kick-arse therapist.
Asshole judge files his appeal after the drycleaners withdraw their request for legal fees. I hope the appeals judge smacks him down.
