Anya: It's lovely! I wish it was mine! Oh like you weren't all thinking the same thing. Giles: I'm fairly certain I wasn't.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude's got an axe.

No clue, but an axe.

"plagiarized" != using a cite, called out and pulled out as a cite, with no claims to ownership, and, in fact, all due credit given.

May his own efforts never, ever sell.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I like paperdol's response, and agree that nothing else needs to be said-- no need to turn this guy's lj into an f_w site. Even if his comments were not well-considered for an unlocked post.

ETA: or well-considered for a post calling out someone else's purported minor errors-- McKean's law comes to mind (probably the third-most cited law on the internet).

brillig

Hopefully no one else here read that article, or it's just me whose relationship is doomed in the future through no fault of my own.

I read it, bon bon, and I just felt sad for all those people--except the ones who were using Marie and her hubby as object lessons.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Is there a mailing list for the Seattle Buffistas, and if so, how do I go about subscribing? I'm going to be in Seattle around Labor Day weekend, and I'm trying to figure out the best way try to have a F2F with the folks up there.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I was all set up to come home and complain about my first (real) day of work, and how my new shoes gave me blisters, and it took half of the day for me to be able to log on, and how the computer didn't have fucking WORD installed on it, and how I still don't have LAN or internet access. (P.S. SO BORED.)

But I have arrived home to the news that my credit card has apparently been "compromised", and the credit card company is closing it and issuing a new one. Did they call me to tell me? No, I had to find out when the mail order pharmacy called me to tell me my card bounced.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I read the article but didn't retain much of it.

ION, some wonderful person has made a compilation vid of the Babies Eating Lemons tagged videos on YouTube. LOVE.

Speaking of babies, mine is 2 months old today!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Emaill stress slowing workers down.

It might be my job, but the idea of only checking my email every fifteen minutes means I'd not get much done. And if everything urgent came over the phone I'd probably stop answering it, or at least start panicking when it went off.

Hell, I have a dual monitor setup and most of the left monitor is Outlook. Plus I have the transparent alert that pops up with the sender and first little bit of the message just in case.

I have a Blackberry for work, so it's definite that I'm supposed to be reachable. We don't get dinged for answering emails in meetings as long as we're not disturbing the discussion or missing huge bits.

I need to get a friend to let me feed her daughter lemons NOW.

Cute boy, Jessica.
