Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm unsure if that's okay, since I found it via google.

If he was trying to keep it a secret, he shouldn't have posted on the internet.

That having been said, I'd advise you to not bother. He's a guy who doesn't like your work, and has made some stupid accusations. It's very unlikely you'll change his mind or even the minds of his normal audience.

Got my chips, no thanks to you guys. On the way up in the elevator I head that Rosario Dawson should be approached for Friday or Saturday (her choice) and she has that poverty and that Latino thing.

Then someone mumbled Ed Norton's name and I didn't hear anything else...

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

No, I think that's wankerific, and he doesn't deserve that just for having an opinion that hurts my feelings. But I love you for offering.

This is not an opinion, this is a misstatement of fact. And accusing a writer of plagiarism is huge. I think that someone needs to respond. If that someone is me, that's cool. But, I won't be nice, so maybe Lee should do it.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I posted, and now am getting back to work now that I can concentrate, again.

Hi, I'm Allyson Beatrice.

I found this while pathetically vanity googling for reviews.

I'm sorry you hate my book, of course, but I expected some folks to hate it and others to love it or feel apathetic, blah blah criticism-cakes.

I'd just like to respond to your accusation of plagiarism.

I received written permission from both Snacky and Mike Godwin to use their "laws" in entirety.

The book might be shit, but it's not plagiarized shit.

Sorry for busting in on you. Also sorry that it seemed to be a painfully bad read for you.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Very good response.

I got called away, or else I would have said what Vortex did. (except that I was going to enlist Sparky's help, so it wouldn't be too nice). Not liking it is one thing, but the plagarism is a whole other thing.

Darn, missed a chance to be evil and/or watch Vortex let her lawyer-self loose.

paperdol, I think your response was perfect and what everyone else said.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

paperdol, that is a very good response. If he tries to stir anything up in reply, or if he tries to flame bait you, ignore him.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude's got an axe.

No clue, but an axe.

"plagiarized" != using a cite, called out and pulled out as a cite, with no claims to ownership, and, in fact, all due credit given.

May his own efforts never, ever sell.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I like paperdol's response, and agree that nothing else needs to be said-- no need to turn this guy's lj into an f_w site. Even if his comments were not well-considered for an unlocked post.

ETA: or well-considered for a post calling out someone else's purported minor errors-- McKean's law comes to mind (probably the third-most cited law on the internet).

brillig

Hopefully no one else here read that article, or it's just me whose relationship is doomed in the future through no fault of my own.

I read it, bon bon, and I just felt sad for all those people--except the ones who were using Marie and her hubby as object lessons.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Is there a mailing list for the Seattle Buffistas, and if so, how do I go about subscribing? I'm going to be in Seattle around Labor Day weekend, and I'm trying to figure out the best way try to have a F2F with the folks up there.
