Steph, thanks for the jeans rec! I have much the same problem as you - they fit the waist or the hips, but never both! There's a Lane Bryant near me - I shall try these out.
Seriously, they are AMAZING. The sales associate has to measure your waist (and possibly hips) to get your size, because the whole waist-to-hip ratio led to a new sizing scheme for LB. I had to try on a few different sizes/shapes, but the winning pair made me actually YELL in the fitting room, "Oh my God! I LOVE THESE!!!" They fit my waist AND my hips. And my ass and my thighs.
Brenda, the new place looks great, particularly that 2nd bedroom/office with all that windowspace. You should totally get a telescope for that room.
edited because I don't know anyone named Branda.
Must check out Right Fit Jeans.
I am out of Tim Tams and I am sad.
Need More Boxes.
Need Less Stuff.
Brenda, the place looks great. Now I have to think of some business reason to head your way and raise a glass with you on that deck.
Damn straight. In fact, consider that an open invitation, y'all. The deck view is west, so the sunset should be amazing.

Oh crap - that's tonight?
Where's the nearest place to Chicago that's away from all lights? Preferably closer than Wisconsin.
tommy, head for the airport. I'll meet you in Colorado. (I wish.)
The nearest dark sky site to me is in Pennsylvania, probably an hour and a half away.
eta oh, wait, no. More like three hours. Well, that's right out.
Lane Bryant's new Right Fit jeans.
I got a pair last week. I have the exact opposite problem as you, my waist and hips are almost the same size, so jeans either fit my butt and won't button or fit my waist with enough room for a small child in the butt.
My only gripe on them is that the petites are NOT petite. They say the inseam is 29.5" on the petites, but my inseam is 28.75" and I still had to get about 4 inches cut off and hemmed.
Seriously! I adore online bill-paying. It's almost like I'm a responsible adult. My Sims need online bill-paying, because I'm such a schmutz that my Sims family, retirees with 150,000 simoleons in the bank still forget to pay the bills and get visited by the repo man with his laser repo ray. Ah, how art imitates life.
Come see us here! Perseids are totally going to rock it, what with the new moon and all. Is it tonight? Somehow I thought it was tomorrow night. We were going to go out to the land and put lawnchairs in our yard and watch them. But we're getting ready to take the dog to the park right now, and there's a bluegrass festival on, so probably we won't make it out anywhere tonight.
I am finally home. Counting the 30+ minutes in Panera, I spent 9 hours on a trip that should have verged on 6.
