Yep, Brenda, if you look hard enough you can find just about anything--purebred or mix--in a shelter. It's so sad.

if I could find a dark shepherd/lab mix, with more of a lab personality, that would be perfect.Heh. You've just described my pup Sasha. She turned three this summer.
Have you seen my Shepherd pics? They're here if you'd like to meet my girls. The redder Shepherd is my older girl, Zoe. She's nine now. The darker one (the pictures star with her as a baby) is Sasha.
Password is "PixKris" (note the caps).
Pretty puppies, Kristin T! Mine are at link. All are in "Pasternak Pack."
Oh, they're adorable, Bobbi! How many pups do you have?
(Oh, and not sure if you know the backstory on my dogs--I no longer have them because my ex-husband and I decided they would be better off in the huge house in CT, but I see them whenever I go home and love and miss them to pieces.)

Thanks! We have 4, though one is technically a foster (for over 3 years) dog. Sam is 13. Bonnie is 13-1/2. Lucy, the swimmer and obsessive retriever is 11-1/2. Punky (aka Lucy Punk) is the foster. She's 10-1/2 and is diabetic and has Cushing's disease. Not a lot of potential adopters lining up for her.
They're wonderful, Bobbi!
Thanks, amych. I love them to pieces. We never had kids, so they're our kids, the second generation. I have a couple of pics of the late, great first generation (Levi & Toni) in there too.
We never had kids, so they're our kids...
Perzactly how we feel about our animals. Love them so very much.
Kristin T, I just don't get people who don't feel that dogs, cats, and other companion animals are part of the family. Yay us!
Bobbi, feel free to just call me Kristin. I only added the "T" to distinguish myself from Kristen, one of the original Buffistas (aka THE Kristen), but I've been around long enough now that most people drop the T now. (I've been on the board three-and-a-half years, but that's pretty new in this group!)
