Bobbi, exactly what I was going to write! Especially if you've got several cats who need a well-cat visit for shots and stuff, it can make life a lot easier for all.
I went to a 4H fair today, which was a big ol' one, with everything from beef cattle to Seeing Eye Puppies. And then the Fabric Sale was offering $2 grocery bag "all you can carry" deals, so I got a couple pounds of calico scraps that the quilters I know may enjoy a bunch. My niece was enchanted....
So far today, I have bought cleaning supplies, taken in the dry cleaning that's been in my car for a few months, had brunch with JZ, bounced Matilda on my knee, tormented my cat, and am now home again. I suspect a brief nap might be in order before I actually start the cleaning.
Today has been a bust so far. No cleaning done, but some Dirty Jobs watching, lots of TWoP reading done, and coffee and oatmeal consumed.
Theodosia and Zenkitty, mobile vets are also good when you have older pets or pets who don't travel well. I don't use one, but I can certainly see the advantages. I have 4 dogs, one of whom has diabetes and Cushing's disease. It would be so nice to have the vet come here for the ACTH stimulation tests for Punky! My vet's great, though, and the dogs all love car rides. I have some pics of my dogs on my Flickr page. Link
I hope Lion-Cut Kitty is cooler and happier now. (Don't tell her she looks like a giant mouse. They hate that.)
Today, I have seen Stardust (enjoyed muchly, DeNiro was great), shopped briefly for kitchen supplies, and still NOT done the thing I've been putting off. Time for a nap!
Are you going to make a new cat with all that hair, Lee?
I could!
Or some throw pillows, at the very least.
Lee, your kitty looks adorable in the Lion-Cut.
Thanks! I'm really kind of fascinated with the coloration patterns he has on his skin. They don't show up when he is fully furred.
Really? That is interesting.
