Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks! I'm really kind of fascinated with the coloration patterns he has on his skin. They don't show up when he is fully furred.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I think he looks cute. I hope he warms up to it and you soon!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Lee, your cat looks hilarious!

I went to Target, and now I don't feel like getting back into the stupid cleaning. I did throw out a nearly-full bag of shredded paper, and filed a bunch of what was sitting around, but there's still more to do! And I need to vacuum. Tomorrow is another day!

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Took the cat outside today to let her explore a little and clip her nails. Got one nail clipped, noticed she was panting (which I've never seen her do before), brought her back inside. Maybe we'll do the rest later.

Today we took the boys to the Barber Motorsports Museum and Raceway. I thought immediately of juliana because it is filled with hundreds and hundreds of shiny, shiny motorcycles (and some great racecars as well.) Not even being a big fan, it was...very pretty. Of course, I gravitated towards the antiques, while the nephew liked the ones that could possibly be transformers.... But the attention paid to the prettiness of the engine is pretty neat too.

It's been a good visit. I attacked D with the hose yesterday, plus we had a lizard adventure. That kid LOVES the creepy crawlies. Good thing I don't mind them. I swear, he tracked the newly released lizard for an hour.

Now if something could just be done about the damned mosquitos, roaches and my brother not having a/c in his car. 100F at 100 mph? Is still damned hot.

I'm glad you are having such a good visit, sarameg.

I didn't make it to Target yesterday. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm really kind of fascinated with the coloration patterns he has on his skin. They don't show up when he is fully furred.

Really? That is interesting.

Fully furred, he's black and white; shaved he has a lot of grey, with some very dark spots, and white.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

No AC in Alabama seems like a Very Bad Thing.

Noah did an overnight at Lori's last night (and possibly tonight, but I need to figure out the oxygen sitch in the short term). It was such a blessed relief to sleep all night.

The upside to having to take everything out of the kitchen for the exterminator is that we can put it back in a more thoughtful manner. Maybe.
